Currently, completing a Masters of Applied Linguistics, focusing on language assessment and undertaking a research project exploring the comprehension and production of complex syntax among autistic adolescents.

Nan Shiels
Nan is a speech pathologist and teacher who has over 30 years’ experience working with primary and secondary school students who have speech, language and literacy difficulties.
For the majority of this time she worked at Rossbourne School where she developed specialised programs to assist older students with diverse learning needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, dyslexia and language disorder.
Nan is also a registered teacher and highly values her capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues, families and teachers to achieve the best outcomes for all.

Joyleen Armer
Joyleen is the founder of Alpaca Allied Health and a certified practising speech pathologist.
As a former linguistics lecturer and English teacher, Joyleen is keen on helping clients struggling with both language and communication skills. She enjoys the challenges that every client brings and uses a multidisciplinary method in treating her clients, whereby she works with teachers, psychologists and other health professionals to achieve the best outcomes for her clients.
Collaborating with her colleagues, Joyleen also provides support to clients with swallowing and communication difficulties at aged care and supported residential services. Joyleen also treats adolescents and adults who have stuttering issues.
Joyleen can speak Mandarin, Japanese, English and Shanghai Dialect.

Lachlan Andrews
Lachlan is a certified practising speech pathologist, who has experience working with clients across the lifespan.
Lachlan has had recent experience working within residential aged care facilities, supporting adult clients with their communication and swallowing needs. Lachlan enjoys implementing a multidisciplinary approach with clients and enjoys working closely with families and other health professionals to achieve person centred goals. Additionally, Lachlan is passionate about providing education and advocating for the speech pathology profession through quality improvement tasks.
Lachlan also has experience and enjoys working with children, supporting language, speech and social communication goals.
Apart from speech pathology, Lachlan holds a degree in linguistics and has been involved with research related to linguistics and speech pathology throughout his studies.

Nicole is passionate about seeing children reach their full potential in their life and believe in the importance of family-centred practice.
Nicole brings a warm energy to her therapy sessions, working well to engage the child in their everyday occupations.

Jean Lin
Jean is a registered music therapist with more than a decade of clinical experience. She is skilled in working with children and adults with developmental, neurological and emotional challenges in various clinical settings, including early intervention, community neurorehabilitation and palliative care. She is passionate about working closely with children, families and allied health team to support the families to use music as a resource to achieve optimal outcomes. She has completed training in Neurologic Music Therapy.
Jean is proficient in piano, guitar, and violin, and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Ying (Joyce) Fang
Ying is a warm and supportive Provisional Psychologist who works with people across the lifespan. She aims to create a respectful and supportive space while helping clients work through challenges and move towards positive change.
Ying has experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, as well as people experiencing stress, emotional difficulties, or challenges in daily life. She works alongside clients and families to better understand concerns, support emotional wellbeing, and manage everyday challenges over time.

Professor Jun Yang
A/Professor Jun Yang is the Head of the Endocrine Hypertension Group at Hudson Institute of Medical Research, Consultant Endocrinologist at Monash Health and Senior Researcher in the Department of Medicine at Monash University, Victoria, Australia.
Jun graduated from Monash University with a MBBS (Hon) in 2001, obtained the FRACP in 2010 and completed her PhD on tissue-selective coregulators of the mineralocorticoid receptor in 2013. She has continued basic and clinical research in the field of aldosterone-mediated hypertension. She established the Endocrine Hypertension Service in 2016 and co-leads the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Primary Aldosteronism.
Jun is passionate about creating change through “bench-to-bedside” translational research and implementing research outcomes in clinical practice. Jun is also an active member of the endocrine community, serving as the ESA representative on the National Hypertension Taskforce, member of the ENDO Annual Meeting Steering Committee, member of the Endocrine Society Primary Aldosteronism Guideline Development Panel, and member of the Clinical Council of Hypertension Australia.
