School Holiday Group Program

This past school holiday, we had the wonderful opportunity to host a dynamic social group designed specifically for children. Over the course of four engaging days, our experienced speech pathologists and music therapist worked together to create a fun and supportive environment where kids could enhance their language skills, storytelling abilities, social skills, and emotional regulation.

Our social group was carefully crafted to encourage participation and interaction among peers. Each session was filled with creative activities, games, and storytelling exercises, all aimed at fostering communication skills in a natural and enjoyable way. Children engaged in group discussions, collaborated on stories, and participated in role-playing scenarios that not only honed their language abilities but also strengthened their social connections.

With the inclusion of our talented music therapist, the group experienced the power of music as a tool for learning. Rhythmic activities and musical storytelling provided a unique platform for children to express themselves and practice their emotional regulation. Music facilitated connections among participants, making it easier for them to share their thoughts and feelings while having fun.

Throughout the program, we focused on key areas of development:

  • Language Skills: Activities were designed to improve vocabulary, sentence structure, and comprehension.
  • Storytelling Skills: Children learned to understand and retell stories.
  • Social Skills: Group interactions fostered turn-taking, listening, and cooperation.
  • Emotional Regulation: Through guided discussions and expressive activities, children practiced recognizing and managing their emotions.

Stay tuned for details about our next school holiday group! We can’t wait to welcome new friends and continue fostering language, storytelling, and social skills in a fun and supportive setting.
